Two things I always wanted to shout in Anime-Producers’ faces

“If something’s happening, we don’t need a secondary character explaining what is happening, because unlike in manga the images are animated and WE SEE WHAT HAPPENS without wasting 3 weeks on it’s depiction.”

“We don’t need characters shouting the names of their attacks every single time. Once or twice to get to know them, ok. But it’s not like it’s that important, anyway”

Thank you for your attention.

On a tangentially related note, I think anime producers in general tend to suck at exposition for some reason. It’s almost always better to throw the viewer (or reader, or whatever) into your world and let them discover it through the characters and events in your story.
But nine times out of ten when I watch a high-concept anime there will be a character explaining in a voice over about how “IN THIS WORLD THERE ARE X AND Y AND BLAH BLAH BLAH” within three minutes in the first episode.
